Butterkist Popcorn

Butterkist popcorn is made by applying heat to kernels until they pop (and it is the only type of corn which does pop). Popcorn originated in 1914, with the production of the B-Kist popcorn machine. It has since grown by supplying cinemas and eventually supermarkets, shops and online sellers.

Is is it Good?

One Pound Crisps can safely say that Butterkist is GOOD. It can be enjoyed by all ages on any occasion; at the cinema, during home movie night, a lunch time snack, for fun innovative recipes or for a midnight munch. Around 5,000 tonnes of popcorn is produced yearly (WHOAH) and the toffee popcorn flavour is exclusive to the UK.

What Flavours Are There?

Despite not having many flavours, Butterkist have perfected their signature flavours which are stocked and supplied by One Pound Crisps. These include; toffee, sweet, sweet and salty and salted.

Toffee Popcorn is a great sweet crunchy treat. Each kernel is poped to perfection and then coated with a sweet, sticky toffee coating.

Sweet Popcorn has a tasty, sweet and addictive flavour  that you won’t be able to get enough off.

Sweet and Salty Popcorn  combines the best of both worlds. It has heavenly sweetness and savoury saltiness to create a deliciously balanced snack.

Salted Popcorn is perfect if sweet isn’t your thing. The salted flavour is packed with soft salty hints, resulting in an irresistible crunchy snack.

Which Flavours Are Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten or Dairy Free?

Butterkist toffee is NOT vegan or dairy free as the recipe uses milk, however it IS vegetarian and gluten free.

The Butterkist sweet IS gluten free and vegetarian. The ingredients DO NOT use dairy, however, there may be milk traces from manufacturing. Therefore they are NOT vegan or dairy free.

Sweet and salted Butterkist, just like the sweet, IS gluten free and vegetarian. However, it may contain milk so are NOT dairy free or vegan.

Finally, the Butterkist salted, IS gluten free and vegetarian. It may contain traces of milk so is NOT suitable for vegans and its is NOT dairy free.
