Golden Wonder are a crisp production company which originated in Edinburgh in 1947. Since then they have been manufacturing lots of delicious crisps, including the very first ready salted crisp.

Golden Wonder are specialists in producing fun crisps of weird and wonderful shapes and a variety of flavours. They have one of the most extensive crisp ranges we have seen and if we were to stock them all, we would need a whole warehouse.

Not only have Golden Wonder been pioneers in the crisp industry, they are also improving their environmental impact. Over the past 5 years they have reduced plastic use by over 130 Tonnes a year. To do this they used smaller packs for the same weight of crisps, thinner bags and caveatted outer packs.

What Are The Types Of Crisps

Golden Wonder have a knack for producing fun crisps in a variety of shapes. These include; saucers, rings, crisps, transform-a-snacks, balls, wheels, people shaped, just to name a few. Each shape comes in ranging flavours to suit all ages and preferences.

What Are The Flavours

Golden Wonder flavours include some of the classic crisp flavours, such as, cheese and onion, steak, bacon, salt and vinegar, sour cream and onion, BBQ… the list could go on forever.

One Pound Crisps sells full foxes of each type and flavour of Golden Wonders crisps, so if you’re crisp mad you can stock up on boxes and boxes of your favourite ones.

Which Are Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free or Dairy Free.

The Golden Wonder crisps that are stocked by One Pound Crisps and their dietary information is as follows.

Transform-a-snack spicy and BBQ crisps ARE vegetarian but both contain milk, so are NOT vegan or dairy free. The Spicy flavour also contains soya. There is NO information provided by the manufacturer to whether it is gluten free despite none of the ingredients containing gluten.

Saucers sour cream and onion and BBQ crisps both again have milk so are NOT vegan or dairy free. They ARE both suitable for vegetarians. Although there is no clear ingredients containing wheat they are NOT categorised as gluten free.

Golden Wonder Ringos sour cream and onion, salt and vinegar and cheese and onion ARE all vegetarian. However, they all contain wheat and milk so NON are gluten free, dairy free or vegan.

Cheeseburger Quarterback and Awesome Oink crips ARE both Vegetarian. Quarterbacks contain wheat and milk so are NOT gluten free, dairy free or vegan. Oinks contain soya, milk and wheat, so are NOT gluten free, dairy free or vegan.

Golden Wonder cheese and onion, bacon and steak flavoured crisps are all vegetarian. Bacon contains wheat so is NOT gluten free. The other flavours do not contain wheat ingredients but are NOT listed as gluten free. Bacon does not contain milk, however it is NOT listed as dairy free or vegan. Both cheese and onion and steak flavours contain milk, so NEITHER are dairy free or vegan.

Tangy Toms and Spicy Biker crisps are both vegetarian. Both contain milk so they are NOT vegan or dairy free. Bikers also CONTAIN soya and barley so are NOT gluten free. Toms have no wheat ingredients but are NOT listed as gluten free.
